About Us
Uncle’s Tours of Mount Conner & Curtin Springs Cattle Station
Follow the footsteps of a local bushman
Who and where we are
The heart of Australia is the Northern Territory. Except for the northern coastal area, it is covered almost entirely in desert, and is one of the most desolate and beautiful parts of the world. In the southern part of the Territory is Central Australia, home to world-famous landmarks such as Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and Kings Canyon (Watarrka).
At the boundaries of these great wonders is Curtin Springs Station and Wayside Inn. Located on the Lasseter Highway, 100km east of Uluru and 240km from Kings Canyon. On the Curtin Springs property is Mount Conner – which is older than both Uluru and Kata Tjuta.

About The Tours
Follow Uncle’s footsteps off the beaten track and dive into the beauty of Australian isolation – at Curtin Springs Station. Let us show you how life is possible in this arid, hostile country, and explain to you how a one-million-acre cattle station runs. Your experienced guide will explain the wonders of the Mountain, take you on bush walks to find bush tucker and bush medicine as well as the feed for our stock. Discover fossils 3.5 billion years old; walk on a vast salt lake; learn about bores, windmills, breeds of cattle and what happens at mustering time. Listen to a yarn about the good old days at the old pioneers’ place on the south-western side of the Mountain. Enjoy the peace of the outback while we open your eyes to the unique eco-environment that surrounds Mount Conner. Watch the sun going down on the Mountain before returning to your vehicle at the Homestead or settling into your accommodation at the Curtin Station Wayside Inn.
